The Bruggeman model is also called Effective
Medium Approximation (EMA). In
this model, the two media play exactly the same role. The effective dielectric
function of the mixture is given by the second

The two materials plays the same
role but they are in interaction. Each type of inclusion is in interaction with the medium (it is supposed nevertheless spherical,
depolarization coefficient equal to 1/3 ).
